What wouldn’t I give for a control panel for all my 2.0 “toys”.
It’d have a modular interface (a-la-Google? Yahoo?), where I can choose to add a small widget for the 2.0 services of my preference.
For example, it’d have
- a module for my Twitter what-am-i-doing messages
- my fave feeds – not static, of course, but a manual scroll that marks stuff as read in the Google Reader style
- a box with selected Flickr stuff (recent activity, messages)
- a box with my ta-da to-do list
- LinkedIn activity (just text, mind you), such as q&a in a selected area, or changes in my direct network
- an IMified chat window
- latest activity in the project managed with basecamp i’ve been helping with
- won’t include anything for the library thing because i have already that in my rss feeds, although given time -and rest- I’d come up with something kewl for it
And, of course, I want, need, crave shareable tags between different apps (after I have spent xx days, months tagging stuff, I discover a better (bookmarking/video/etc) site and have to start creating tags all over again (just when I have all synonyms merged..)
Not sure how this could ever be possible, but I’ll get onto it during my next pillow break.
Uhm.. Ermm.. Yeah. For now, it’ll do.
